This exciting comprehensive course bundle is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge for success as an early childhood educator who understands the importance of mental health awareness in the classroom. First, you will get a working knowledge of early childhood education and prepare for the Child Development Associate (CDA) certification process of the Council for Professional Recognition with content review, assessment practice, and portfolio preparation.

The CDA training course will include a thorough introduction to early childhood education. See the corresponding course outline below for specific key topics covered in our online CDA certification course.

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) training course provides you with a full pathway to become a BACB certified RBT. The eligibility requirements met include the 40-hour training course with a deep dive into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), followed by an Initial Competency Assessment led by a BACB certified assessor. The RBT course also includes a voucher for the certification exam upon eligibility, and the completion of a background check. The course does not include the BACB application fee.

After completing the RBT course, you will be confident to administer behavioral intervention plans, record and prepare data for the behavior analyst, and follow ethical decision-making and protocol, as described by the board. Kerri Welch

Kerri Welch has over 20 years of extensive experience in the field of Early Childhood Education, more specifically with the CDA credential as an Instructor, Field Supervisor at Dutchess Community College, in NY, as a PD Specialist for the CDA Council, and currently teaching Child Development classes at Houston Community College. She has successfully trained a diverse population of students by helping them advance in their careers in early childhood development through implementing a child-centered, developmentally appropriate curriculum that uses positive guidance techniques. She has a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Students with Disabilities, a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Kerri is on the advisory board of Informed Green Solutions, a national non-profit that has pioneered environmental education on green cleaning products for early childhood programs. She is extremely passionate about children's health, nutrition, and safety, especially as it relates to children with special needs.

Hannah Kruman

Hannah Kruman has worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for several years within clinical settings, schools, and homes, before becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In her career, she has trained and supervised many behavioral technicians on various caseloads and assignments.

After transitioning to the Birth-to-Three/Early Intervention course, she became a service coordinator on top of her responsibilities as a behavior analyst, including completing intake assessments to determine eligibility for birth-to-three services.

Recently, Hannah established Horizon Behavioral Therapy and Education, LLC, where she provides behavior analytic services, parent training, and consultation. In addition to her BCBA, she is a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), has completed her Initial Competency Assessment training, and holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.).

Rachel L White

Rachel L White, Ph.D., BCBA-D, has participated in federally funded grants implementing School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) in public schools and training parents of children with autism using online and video-conferencing technologies. She has coordinated both center-based and in-home programs. She has also supported a private school, a preschool, and school-based services and provided parent, caregiver, and community educational opportunities.

Dr. White completed her Doctorate in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Kansas in May 2010. Her studies focused on structuring classrooms for student success and early intensive behavioral intervention for children with developmental delays.

What kind of salary can I earn as an early childhood educator/CDA?

According to Payscale, the average early childhood education salary is $35,000.

What is the cost of a CDA certification?

Applying for your initial CDA credential costs $425 for online applications and $500 for paper applications. The cost of the CDA credential is not included in your tuition for the course.

Does this course prepare me for a certification?

Yes. Child Development Associate – Center-based for Infant and Toddler or Preschool. The education hours can be applied toward both certifications. However, you will need to present a different portfolio and verification visit for each age group you choose to seek certification.

Yes. The RBT course meets all the BACB eligibility requirements including the 40-hour training and Initial Competency Assessment. A background check is also included in the cost of the course.

When can I start this course?
